Making Sense of Incense

Incense, in spiritual practices, are used in prayers, spells or rituals to aid and enhance. They can help to drive out negative energies and amplify awareness / consciousness. It (purifying incence) can be used like sage to do a cleansing; it is strongly recommended that it be a follow up tool versus the actual cleanser. A Sage Smudge stick would always be best to use first and the incense as a follow up or an upkeep if you will.

Many know Incense to be associated with Hinduism and Buddhism. What most do not know is that it is associated with other religious groups too.

Different types of Incense

Here are a few:
Most commonly known would be the Loose incense
Rope
Cone
Powered
Sticks
Charcoal

Other purposes:

Cleansing your crystals/stones. Bringing in positivity into your life or other intents. Full moon manifestations. Follow-up cleansing of a home or area (Sage Smudge Stick should be done first), mediations, yoga, relax for studying or to unwind, healing or to enhance sexual desires

TIP:

Dragons Blood Incense intensifies, charges or you could say magnifies the potency of other incense you are using. Activate before use. You need a holder for it (lol for the newbies), when lighting keep the flame burning for a few second 10 – 20 seconds to be sure it’s lit good then blow out the flame leaving a “cherry.” Keep you incense in a plastic bag or it’s box to store. If you are an asthmatic or have bad allergies I wouldn’t recommend using incense. Keep in a safe area. Safety First
