Ticket Through Time: Rewriting Our Triggers

Ticket Through Time: Rewriting Our Triggers

(Continuation of the Tight Jeans blog)

As empaths, when we stumble into an energy ‘web,’ we don’t just feel it—we time-travel-ish. Suddenly, we’re back in that old moment where the trauma began, reliving it like it’s fresh. (unsolicited nostalgia trip— good times)

In the last blog, we talked about awareness—spotting foreign energy and saying, “Not mine.” That’s step one: taking the edge off. How bout we, rework the trigger itself? like a childhood regression session in hypnotherapy.

Do like this: When we revisit those memories with new eyes ( #AdultWisdom), we literally change what we’re projecting into our present—and future.

The How (Science & Magick):

  • Neuroscience Backs Us Up: Neuroplasticity means our brains can rewrite old pathways. Think of it like editing an intense drama filled movie scene into a blooper.  (change the story: new perspective & feelings)
  • Quantum Flavor: Physics says time isn’t linear. Indigenous traditions and Buddhist teachings agree: the past isn’t fixed—it’s a conversation.
  • Karmic Cheat Code: If the lesson was “I’m not enough,” reframe it as “They were projecting their crap.” Suddenly, the trigger’s grip loosens.

Why This Is Easier for Empaths:

Empaths don’t just remember trauma—we time-travel right back into it, reliving every raw moment. But but but: that same hyper-awareness that throws us into the past? It’s our built-in rewiring tool. Sensitivity isn’t our weakness—it’s our direct line to healing.

  1. We Feel It All Anyway → So, we can redirect those intense replays. See it fresh. Feel it different. The memory stays – your response to the ‘triggers’ changes. (step by step below)
  2. Natural Energy Detectives → Spotting triggers is half the battle (and we’re pros— or can be lol).
  3. Built-in Time Machines → Our empathy doesn’t just revisit the past—it can change it by feelling something new.

The How To:

triggered

  1. Pause and observe the memory objectively (like watching a movie scene)
  2. Ask yourself: ‘What’s another way to view this situation ‘now’?’
  3. Choose one new feeling to focus on (safety/strength/compassion)
  4. Let that new feeling fill the memory—play it out in your mid, feel, let it be real
 as you breathe deeply

What makes us vulnerable (absorbing everything) also makes us powerful alchemists. The past isn’t fixed—it’s clay for those who feel deeply enough to reshape it.

Homework:
Next time you’re pulled into the past, a free first-class ticket— rewrite the script. The child that felt small? Show them they’re safe now. It’s not denial; it’s reparenting your timeline. Let go of the emotion that doesn’t benefit your emotional goals.

Side Effects May Include:

  • Fewer emotional hangovers
  • A smirk when old triggers have died down
  • Evolution

Retroactive Healing: Who Came Up With This—and Who’s Still Doing It?

The OG Idea:
Now, the fun part: the Quantum perspective. I did a deep dive on  the different origins of the similar / same idea.  Some of the earliest structured systems are in:

  1. Chassidic Jewish Mysticism (1700s–1800s)
    • The Alter Rebbe (big-deal spiritual teacher) taught that divine energy exists outside time—so if you reconnect to it hard enough, you can literally undo emotional damage like it never happened.— I was so humbled when finding this out. I really thought I was something special when I received this download of “changing one’s history” for a ‘new’ life. blushing 😊
    • Modern Chassidic Jews still use practices like “Cheshbon Tzedek”—part prayer, part joy-fueled time warp—to scrub painful memories clean.
  2. Shamans (Since Forever & a day)
    • They would project their consciousness into the past during rituals, grab lost soul pieces, and peace out. Fascinating! I do something similar in Attunement Healings—using my empathic gift I’ll step into their memory— through talking, to feel whatever emotions are causing blockage. This helps clients to ‘shift’ those old feelings into a new perspective. Two heads are better than one
or as scripture says, ‘Carry each other’s burdens.’”Galatians 6:2
  3. New Age Quantum Hustlers (1980s–Now)
    • Fast-forward to folks mixing quantum physics (Kamikaze style 😂) with spirituality to say “your mind can collapse bad timelines!” (Results may vary. Batteries not included.)— definitely not my thoughts.

Who’s Still Doing This Today?

  • Chassidic Jews: Using Torah study + specific prayers to (allegedly) retroactively heal generational curses. I’m not an expert, this is just my measly understanding— from researching— and breakdown. I hope this is not offensive in any way.
  • Energy Workers & Healers: Experts in hypnotherapy and spiritual integration, often weaving in other modalities of subconscious connection. 👋 This is my group.
  • Neo-Shamans: Blending indigenous soul retrieval with therapy-speak (“Let’s go back to when you were 8
”)👋 Also my group haha I don’t have to do the hypnotherapy to get where we want. I also love chaos magick.
  • Instagram Gurus: Selling “quantum time jumps”—usually between ad breaks for detox teas. Nutts, haven’t tried.

Whether it’s holy men, witches, or your aunt’s Reiki healer—everyone agrees: the past is more editable. — so eat it up haha
